Mark Greenwell updated June 22.pdf
I have been a resident of Hungerford since 2002, living at 91 Priory Road.
I was fortunate to be able to take early retirement in June 2020. Since then, I have been looking to get involved in our community; I have helped with Town & Manor (riverbank maintenance and the orchard maintenance) and with the Canal & River Trust (lock gates and towpath maintenance). I have recently joined the Hungerford Environmental Action Team (HEAT)
I previously worked for Ericsson, the Swedish Telecommunications vendor, joining in 1990, taking early retirement in 2020.
I am a member of Sporting Bears Motor Club; this is a national fund-raising club, raising money for children’s charities. Throughout the year (March – November) our club attends local and national shows, offering rides in our cars for charitable donations; 100% of the donations go to the charities.
I am a mentor in the ENACTUS UK organisation (ENtreprenerial ACTion Us), supporting UK students in delivering community impact projects. I am currently working with the team from Surrey University.
I am a keen cyclist – though I crashed from my bicycle in Sep 2021 and have a replacement left shoulder joint as a result. I am working through my recovery and hope to be back cycling outdoors later in 2022.
