Hungerford Neighbourhood Plan Referendum

Some incorrect statements have been published by an anonymous person in relation to the Neighbourhood Plan ahead of the Referendum tomorrow.

In the interest of public information, we are publishing the following facts:

• The Hungerford Neighbourhood Plan includes two housing allocations. The housing allocations have been selected on the least impact on the North Wessex Downs National Landscape in which Hungerford is located. Environmental & Habitats Assessments have been completed.

• The plan is community led and is based on residents’ input and votes from public consultations.

• The process has been completely open and transparent throughout and has undergone independent examination.

• The Hungerford Neighbourhood Plan is not just focussing on housing. It includes many objectives and policies on the following: -

- Employment and economy

- Getting about

- Leisure, Wellbeing, Public Safety and Learning

- Our heritage

- Climate change and biodiversity
